Destination Schools
Cooking in Nursery! 🥕🥒
This week, the children enjoyed a hands-on cooking experience as they made their own vegetable and cheese sandwiches. They explored colours, textures, and smells while practicing spreading and cutting skills. The children were so proud of their healthy creations!

✨ The children explored the Jewish festivals of Yom Kippur and Sukkot through rich play experiences. They listened to stories and shared their thoughts, supporting their Communication and Language development. 🌿
Through role play and building their own “mini sukkah” with natural materials, the children deepened their Understanding the World, learning about different cultures and communities. 🏡
They also expressed their ideas through drawings and creative exploration, strengthening their Expressive Arts and Design skills while showing curiosity and imagination. 🎨

🍯🐝 Shanah Tovah from our preschoolers! To celebrate Rosh Hashanah, the children explored the light table with toy honey bees, letters, and numbers. Using magnifying glasses, they counted bees, matched letters like “H” for honey + “B” for bee, and buzzed with excitement as they welcomed the sweet new year. ✨🍎

🌟 Passover Fun in the Nursery! 🌟
This week, the nursery has been buzzing with excitement as we`ve been exploring the story of Passover using all of our senses! 👀👂👃👅✋
From hearing the story of Moses and the Exodus, to feeling the textures of matzah and tasting delicious Passover treats, the children have truly brought the story to life. We`ve used our hands to build pyramids, our eyes to spot baby Moses in the reeds, and even our noses to smell the special spices on the Seder plate.
It’s been a wonderful way to connect with the traditions of Passover through play, creativity, and discovery. As we learned about the Passover story, the children were especially fascinated by the plague of frogs! We took that curiosity and dove deeper—exploring the life cycle of a frog, from egg to tadpole to fully grown hopper!
To bring the learning to life, the children used their fine motor skills to draw adorable frogs and create their own frog hats. It was a hands-on, creative way to connect the holiday story with science and art. So much hopping fun and learning all in one! 🐸✨💚
